Check-ins

Check-ins is one of the four automations that comes turned on when you create your Mutiny account. It watches for the signals that most reps miss, like an account going quiet or a promise coming due, and gets a nudge or a new meeting time ready so you can keep the deal moving.

What the automation does

  • Notices a customer going quiet or a promise coming due.
  • Plans either a nudge or a new meeting time, whichever fits the situation.
  • Drafts the message once you approve the plan.
  • Leaves the actual send to you.

Because this runs out of the box, there’s no setup to work through. The automation uses the context Mutiny already has from Gmail, Calendar, your call tool, and your CRM to decide when to step in.

Viewing the guidance

Open the Assistant dropdown in the left sidebar, select Automation, and click into the Check-ins card. Select View guidance in Brain to see exactly what counts as a quiet account or an overdue promise. Edit the guidance in the Brain if you want to tighten the trigger window, change the tone of the nudge, or add rules for specific account types.

Permissions

Check-ins uses the same four permission controls as every other out-of-the-box automation:

  • Mutiny: auto-allowed.
  • Read connected apps: auto-allowed.
  • Write to connected apps: Ask me first, Allow without asking, or Don’t allow.
  • Mode: Review first or Draft first.

See Mutiny Automations for a full breakdown of how each permission behaves.
