How to create an Outbound experience

  • Updated

Mutiny's Outbound experiences allow you to deeply personalize a page for a list of accounts. Once personalized, links to the experience will be generated by appending unique parameters to your existing page. That way, your team can distribute the unique links to your target accounts and know that each account is seeing their version of the page.

Creating an Outbound experience

When creating an experience, you can either select from the Inbound or Outbound options. The first selection under the Outbound categories is Build & Distribute Outbound Experiences.

Once selected, input the page you would like to personalize and select the list you'd like to target. If you need to create a new list, you can do so in "Lists".

Adding and updating content to your experience

Book A Meeting Banner

The Book A Meeting Banner can be added to your Outbound experiences to provide your accounts with a personalized link to book a meeting with their Account Rep. This component can be added from the right-hand side of the Editor on the plus (+) tab.

To utilize the Book A Meeting Banner, you will need to set up Account Owners, which is detailed in our guide here: Set Up Account Owners for Book A Meeting Experiences

Inline AI for editing and generating content

Our inline AI features can be used in the editor to select specific tones, make the content shorter, mention the account name specifically, or remove any jargon. This feature can also generate or edit existing text on your site.

You can access the AI features by selecting an element with text inside and using the popups that appear below.

Inserting Dynamic Variables into your content

You can dynamically insert data directly into your experiences so that different users see a personalized experience on your site. For example, you could dynamically include a customer's company into your website copy. In the below screenshot, the dynamic variable list is pulled up using the <> icon in the Content editor.

For an extended overview of Dynamic Variables, please see our article on them here: Inserting Dynamic Variables into your experience

Downloading links for distribution

CSV Download

When launching an Outbound experience, personalized links for each account will be generated for you through a CSV.

The Download Links button will appear on the right-hand side of the experience overview page in the Distribution panel.

Note: In the CSV download you receive, there will be two, separate links for preview and production. The preview links should be used when viewing your Outbound page internally as they will not impact your analytics/performance monitoring. Any views of the production links will impact your analytics.

Salesforce Sync

If you would like to sync the outbound links back to Salesforce, you will need to choose a field on the corresponding object for Mutiny links to write back to. This field will be based on your List's Object (Account or Contact). Syncing to Salesforce will overwrite any value in the field specified with the production link for your Mutiny Outbound campaign.

Reviewing your performance

Once your experience is up and running, you can view our enhanced Analytics from the bottom of the Experience Overview page.

The Accounts and Visitors tabs will give you metrics on impressions, visitor count, days since last seen, converted status, and more!

If you would like more reporting in Salesforce, be sure your Campaign Sync to Salesforce is set up for Outbound. You can learn more about this process using this article here: Setting up your campaign sync to Salesforce
