Add Analytics Tracking to Your Mutiny Assets

  • Updated

Learn how to add analytics and tracking scripts to your Mutiny assets so you can measure performance and connect your data with the rest of your marketing stack. We recommend installing external tracking scripts to help increase your visibility into your asset's performance.

Where to add tracking in Settings

All analytics and tracking scripts are added in your Page Settings

Under Additional code snippets, you’ll see two fields:

  • Head HTML – Add code that should load in the page header, such as analytics scripts or tag manager containers (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Adobe Launch).
  • Body HTML – Add code that should load after the page content, such as chat widgets, behavioral tracking tools, or ad pixels.

Any snippet you add here automatically loads on every Mutiny asset you publish—no need to re-add it for each one.

These can also be added on an asset-level from the Share page under the Custom HTML tab

Adding Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics

You can connect Google Analytics (GA4) or Adobe Analytics to track engagement, traffic sources, and conversions from your Mutiny assets.

To view full setup steps and learn what each tool provides by default, see:

Adding other tracking tools

In addition to Google or Adobe Analytics, you can include other tracking or measurement tools in the same Page Settings → Additional code snippets section. Common examples include:

  • Ad platform pixels – LinkedIn, Meta, or Google Ads pixels for ad conversion tracking
  • CRM or marketing automation scripts – HubSpot, Marketo, or Salesforce to tie leads back to Mutiny assets
  • Behavioral analytics – tools like Hotjar, Amplitude, or Heap to view visitor behavior and interaction patterns

All of these scripts can be pasted into either the Head HTML or Body HTML fields. Mutiny will automatically load them across every asset you publish.

Verify your analytics setup

Before launching, confirm that your tracking tools are working correctly:

  1. Preview your asset and open your browser’s developer console or tag manager debugger.
  2. Check for your analytics scripts – make sure GA, Adobe, or other tags are loading and sending hits.
  3. Confirm realtime activity – look in GA4’s Realtime report or the Adobe Debugger to see your test visit appear.
  4. Test conversion events (form submissions, CTA clicks) to ensure custom tags or events fire as expected.
  5. Double-check ad pixels or CRM scripts by reviewing network activity or your respective platform’s test/debug mode.

This quick QA step ensures your analytics data is accurate from the first day you publish.
