The Creative Agent enables you to build beautiful, on-brand assets in minutes through two core principles: flexibility to dial in your exact look and feel, and creativity to go beyond cookie-cutter pages. This guide walks you through the editor's powerful features for building, customizing, and personalizing your campaigns.
Understanding Page Structure and Control
When you open a campaign, you'll see all the pages you're building in the left-hand panel. There's no single template page or base page that locks everything together - instead, pages can share the same layout but be edited individually, giving you complete control over personalization.
You decide what stays consistent across the campaign and what varies by audience, allowing for page-specific choices while maintaining the ability to roll changes out to everyone when ready.
Drag and Drop Functionality
Everything in the editor is drag and drop, allowing you to rearrange layouts, sections, and elements by simply grabbing and placing them where you want. Move individual elements and watch everything respond to the change, or move entire sections to restructure your page. Press Command-Z to undo any changes you want to revert.
Making Design Changes with Chat
The chat interface can execute design changes by targeting specific sections or elements - simply select them, and the chat will recognize your selection.
Prompt the chat with requests like adding gradients to backgrounds, being as specific as possible with details like hex codes and color specifications. The chat can also make structural changes to your page, such as building new sections from screenshots of your website.
Grab a screenshot, paste it into the chat with specific instructions, and the Creative Agent will build the section for you, allowing you to pull existing website sections into Mutiny and create on-brand assets instantly.
Refining AI-Generated Sections
After the Creative Agent creates a section, you maintain full flexibility to make design changes. Adjust colors, modify elements, and customize containers through the chat or design tab. For elements like video containers, prompt the chat to change the container type, then insert your embed code through the design tab to complete the customization.
Manual Design Control Through the Design Tab
The editor provides manual control through the design tab for fine-grained adjustments. Alter text sizes, use rich text editing, and adjust section layouts directly. Change backgrounds, colors, layout options, alignment, gaps, margins, sizing, borders, and visual treatments. Any changes made can be applied to just one page or set as default to propagate across all pages in your campaign.
Managing Page-Specific vs. Global Changes
When an element is customized on just one page, a small caret indicator appears on the bottom left of that element, signaling that this section is unique to that page.
If you click through other pages, the caret won't appear there, and the layout remains consistent with the original template. When you decide you like a change and want it consistent across your whole campaign, select "Set as default" - the caret will disappear, and the update propagates to all pages that share this layout. This concept applies to both individual elements and entire sections, giving you precise control over what's personalized and what's universal.
Using Pre-Built Blocks
The insert tab allows you to add pre-built sections right out of the box by dragging them into your page. Once dropped into the editor, you maintain full design flexibility to move elements around or delete components within sections. Remember to set as default if you want the new section to appear on all pages in your campaign.
Personalizing with Data
The chat has access to all data associated with your account list, enabling dynamic personalizations. Ask the chat to insert variables from your dataset into any section, and you'll see how populated that field is across your accounts.
The Creative Agent will execute the change across all your pages, inserting personalized information like company names automatically. The Creative Agent can also search your CRM for account information and conduct web research when creating one-to-one campaigns.
Best Practices for Scaling
Create a few templates you really like within the Creative Agent and save them for future use. Build personalizations off these saved templates for future campaigns, allowing you to get started quickly and create campaigns at scale for all your target accounts.
If you don't know how to make manual design changes through the design tab, simply chat with the Creative Agent using natural language, and it will execute your vision. The chat is a highly leveraged way to create any design changes you want through simple, natural language prompts.
