Mutiny has various experience types that you can choose from when creating your experiences. You can choose an experience type while creating an experience.
Choosing an experience type
When you get to the experience type selection page, you'll be able to click any of the experience types in the list to preview what it will look like on your page.
Page Content
The page content type is the most popular type. It allows you to update elements directly on your page using the Mutiny editor.
Banner
The banner type displays a banner and CTA at the top or bottom of your page.
Note: The experience objectives 'Personalize for a list', 'Build and distribute microsites', & 'Personalize existing links sent via email' also enable you to build a Book a Meeting banner which displays your account owner photo and direct scheduling link for each account in your list.
Sidepop
The sidepop type displays a modal and CTA that pops out from the bottom left side of the page.
Exit Intent Modal
The exit intent modal type displays a modal when a user (A) is on the page for 10 seconds or more and (B) mouses out of the browser viewport, showing exit intent. Because there is no equivalent exit action on mobile, exit intent modals will not display on mobile.
When choosing an exit intent modal, you'll also need to decide if you want to capture email, or redirect the user to another page.
Survey Sidepop with personalized success message
This type is similar to the sidepop, but rather than a CTA, you can survey your users and show a custom success message for each response.
Survey Modal with personalized success message
This experience type displays a survey modal on page load.
Survey Sidepop
This type is similar to the survey sidepop above, but there is no success message option.
Survey Modal
This type is similar to the survey modal above, but there is no success message option.
Redirect
The redirect experience type can be used to redirect users from one page to another.
Similar to other experience types, Mutiny will take steps to ensure that users don't see a flicker of original content when viewing a Mutiny experience. Because redirects could change the entire content of the page, Mutiny hides the <body> element of the page until we've been able to determine whether or not a user should be redirected based on the experience rules.
While we won't show any of the page content to the user when determining whether or not they should be redirected, its possible that some other background processes, like Google Analytics, may load on the original page before a user is redirected. This could result in some unexpected data being sent to your analytics tools.
Since redirects change the visitor's page url, they will always take first priority over any other experience type. To learn more about experience priority, click here.
