This article will walk you through the process of creating a new Mutiny experience. To create a new experience, navigate to the "Website" tab in the app, and then click "Create experience".
Experience objectives
There are four experience objectives that help you build your ABM program in Mutiny:
- Personalize for a segment
- Personalize for a list
- Build & distribute microsites
- Personalize existing links sent via email
A quick overview of each of the experience objectives is provided below.
Personalize for a segment
In Mutiny, a segment is an audience that targets your inbound web traffic based on attributes (i.e. industry, size, tech stack, etc). As marketers build out their ABM program, this experience objective serves as the foundation - ensuring that visitors who fit into your ICP are met with a tailored experience when they land on your site.
Mutiny uses your selected Goal to recommend the most impactful Audience+Page combinations when you are personalizing for a segment. Additionally, you will see audience size and conversion estimates based on the last 30 days of web traffic.
Because personalizing for a segment can target larger audiences of web traffic (as opposed to a list of known accounts), it is the only experience objective that allows you to allocate traffic into an experiment.
Personalize for a list
In Mutiny, a list is an audience built of known accounts that is synced from your CRM, marketing automation platform, or CSV. This experience objective allows you to provide tailored experiences for each account in a list when they land on your website.
When building an audience for this objective, you can combine your list of accounts with attributes from additional data sources (i.e. device type, location, etc.) to further personalize your web experience for these accounts.
Book a meeting banner & on-page block - With this objective, you can now provide a direct link for an account to book time with their account owner directly on your site, either as a banner, or as an inserted block section on-page. Simply click the '+' in the top-right of the editor to insert the Book a Meeting block. You can map your account owners in the Account Owners section of the settings menu.
When you define your audience for this objective, you can also define what threshold of identification confidence you want to have in order to show the experience to a visitor.
Show to known visitors only - this setting will only display the experience when the visitor is identified with 100% confidence from 1st-party data. This is the strictest limit on when to show your experience and is best reserved for highly personalized experiences.
Show to known visitors & visitors that are matched with high-confidence IP enrichment - this will show the experience only to visitors who are identified via 1st party data or are matched with high-confidence from your IP enrichment tool. For more information on match-rate confidence, see documentation from Clearbit and 6Sense.
Show to known visitors & any visitors that are matched via IP enrichment - this setting will show the experience to any visitor that is identified as belonging to an account in your list via 1st-party or IP enrichment. This is the loosest identification restriction on when to show your experience.
Build & distribute microsites
Mutiny's microsites allow you to deeply personalize a page for a list of accounts, then generate unique links for each version of the page. That way, your team can distribute the unique links to your target accounts and know that each account is seeing their version of the page.
Microsites allow you to personalize the content on the page, insert the Book a Meeting block, or insert net new content.
Unique links can be synced back into a Salesforce field for distribution or exported as a CSV.

Personalize existing links sent via email
Integrating Mutiny with Outreach gives you two major benefits:
- Visitor identification for anyone who clicks through an emailed link - any time someone lands on your website by clicking through a link in an Outreach email, Mutiny is able to identify the visitor with 1st-party data. This enables you to better personalize their next visit as well as provide deal intelligence and real-time alerts to your sales team.
- Personalize any link sent to a prospect via Outreach, with zero workflow change from your sales team. This means that you can provide a direct booking link on any page a visitor sees after clicking through an email.
To get started, build your audience by defining the Outreach filters (sender, sequence, etc.). Then choose what page you want to personalize when a visitor clicks through.
Experience creation page
The experience creation page is your main hub for creating a new experience. Here, you'll define your goals for the experience, where the experience will show, and what audience should see your experience.
As you update each of these parameters, the right pane of the page will give you a live look at your page, along side some metrics to help you see your estimated impact based on data from the last 30 days.
Choosing a goal
First, you'll want to choose a goal for your experience. You can do this by selecting one of the pre-populated pills, or drop down the section to see a full list of your experience goals. These goals are based on the conversion categories you defined when setting up your events. Learn more about conversion events here.
Choosing a page
Next, you'll want to choose which page(s) your experience will display on. You can select one of the pre-populated pills, or drop down the section to see a full list of pages. You can also search for pages using the search bar within this section.
You can also target multiple pages by selecting the "Advanced" dropdown. For more information on multiple URL targeting, click here.
Choosing an audience
Finally, you'll want to choose an audience for this experience. Your audience defines who should see the experience. You can choose one of your existing segments from the list, or create a new one. Learn more about creating an audience here.
