Setting up your Hubspot integration

  • Updated

When you integrate Hubspot with Mutiny, you can create segments based on Hubspot attributes and dynamically insert Hubspot variables into your experiences. This integration will also help with your visitor identification.

Setting up your Hubspot private app

Mutiny uses HubSpot Private Apps to establish a connection with your HubSpot data.

  1. Log in to your HubSpot account as an admin.
  2. Go to the Settings menu and click on "Integrations."
  3. Click on the "Private App."
  4. Click on "Create a private app."
  5. Complete the Basic Info by naming your app.
  6. Click into "Scopes."
  7. Select all of the read permissions within the CRM section.
  8. Save your "Access token" value - we'll input this into Mutiny next.

Activate the integration in Mutiny

  1. Navigate to https://app.mutinyhq.com/integrations.
  2. Click on the Hubspot integration card.
  3. Enter your access token.
  4. Select whichever attributes you want to use to segment and personalize in Mutiny. You can map columns from both your Contacts and your Accounts objects. You can add additional columns by clicking the "Map another Hubspot column" button at the bottom. When you are finished with your selection, click "Map columns." You can come back and edit these selections at any time.

Next steps

Once you've set up your Hubspot integration, the fields you mapped over will be available in the segment creator. Check out this article to learn how to build your segment!
