Setting Up your Brand

  • Updated

Branding in Mutiny allows you to apply your site's styling and brand guidelines to your Mutiny assets without manual adjustments. By importing a theme, you ensure your assets match your company’s design system, creating a consistent experience between your main site and Mutiny assets.

Importing your Brand to Mutiny

Navigate to the Brand section in Mutiny, located on the left navigation bar

On this page, click + Create Brand and enter a URL from your website. We recommend product and solution pages as they tend to pull the theme with the least amount of tweaking to be done from there.

Pro Tip: If your website uses a firewall, our AI theme generator might get a bit shy about scraping the page. No worries, though, you can still build your theme manually with the same great results!

Review and Adjust Settings

After importing your brand, check for the following:

  • Header styles (H1-H4): Ensure text hierarchy is correct (H1 is the largest, followed by H2, H3, etc.).
  • Font rendering: Confirm that fonts are correctly pulled from your brand’s website.
  • Contrast and visibility: Check that text colors are easy to read, especially dark and light text variations.
  • CTA (Call-to-Action) buttons: Verify that the primary and secondary CTAs align with your brand’s color scheme. If necessary, adjust colors, padding, and border radius to match existing button styles.
  • Visual guidelines: These guidelines are created automatically after importing the theme, and they will direct the creative agent on how to design elements during asset creation in the editor

Save and Use your Brand

Once you've reviewed the imported brand, you can name it and set it as the default so any newly created Assets will use these brand styles. You can access these settings by using the meatball menu in the top right.

Best Practices

  • Ensure visual consistency: Check that all styles match the intended brand guidelines.
  • Use live site references: If necessary, inspect elements from your main website to pull exact RGB values or hex codes for accurate styling.
  • Optimize CTA visibility: Adjust secondary CTAs to ensure they have clear borders and contrast well against the background.

By following these steps, you’ll create high-quality themes that enhance your Mutiny experiences while saving time and maintaining brand integrity.
