How to add the Mutiny client to new URL domains after your initial installation
While this happens infrequently, sometimes you may need to add the Mutiny client to a new URL domain. This might be a new subdomain (like learn.yoururl.com for landing pages) or even an entirely new domain (like myurl.com). You should always check in with your Mutiny CSM before adding the Mutiny client to a new domain.
Note: Mutiny can track visitors between domains and subdomains (e.g. between yoururl.com and learn.yoururl.com) but not between different domains (e.g. yoururl.com and myurl.com).
How to add the Mutiny client to a new URL domain or subdomain
Step 1 - Go to your client settings page
In the bottom left hand corner of the Mutiny app, you will see your name. Click on your name and then click on "Client" to go to your client settings page
Step 2 - Copy your Mutiny client code
Click See installation guide
If you can install the code yourself, click Copy code and paste it in the <head> tag of your website. Do not use a tag manager, and do not add async or defer tags. Any of these installation errors will lead to a page flicker.
If you need to send it to a teammate, scroll down and click Send this to your developer. Enter their email and Mutiny will send them the snippet and installation instructions.
Step 3 - Add your new URL host
If you don't see your new URL Host listed, click Add URL Host and type in your new URL host on the next page and click Save.
That's it, you're done!
