Cleaning up your outbound campaign data

  • Updated

For 1:1 personalized landing pages to be really effective, you need to make sure the data you are using is both accurate and tidy. Doing this manually can be extremely time consuming and slow down your pace of campaign execution. Mutiny has several data cleanup functions that will help you easily import your data, apply bulk updates, make 1-off edits, and transform variables on the fly.

Bulk updates

After importing data for your outbound campaign either from a CSV or from Salesforce, Mutiny will load the data you have uploaded. To apply bulk update functions, click "Manage Audience" from the campaign page, and then select "Clean Up Data" in the top right corner of the data table. Mutiny has 3 common field types with pre-built clean-up functions - Company Name, Title, and Domain. If you have these fields in your data, map them in the clean up modal and click "Clean Data".

Now when you view your data table in Mutiny, the cleaned fields will be displayed in bold. Click the star icon next to the column name to toggle between the uncleaned version and the clean, landing page ready version to confirm everything is looking good.

1-off edits

If you see an issue with a specific value, you can edit it on the fly by clicking "Manage Audience" and then hovering over the cell and clicking edit. Type in your correction and hit save.

FAQs

What happens if I add new accounts to a campaign with cleaned data?

Mutiny will retain your data updates, even if you upload new data. Mutiny will automatically apply the same clean up functions to your newly added data. You can access the data cleanup tools after you launch your campaign by clicking "Manage Audience" from the campaign overview screen.
